Who's Who

Helen Marshall

As well as running the Tygers group,  Revd Helen Marshall is Associate Priest at St John’s, Keswick and member of the Cumbria Spirituality Group leading retreats and courses across the Diocese. She also works part time as a Chaplain at a Methodist Home for the elderly in Penrith offering pastoral support, leading worship and organising a variety of activities. She is married to David, who is also an Anglican Priest and they have 2 sons, Tom and Simon.

Ann Peate

Sheila Hughes

Sheila has been been a vicar since 1995 and is now part time House for Duty Vicar in Lorton, Loweswater and Buttermere parishes.

The Youth Café was started in 2015 June as a response to the youngsters needing somewhere to “hang out”!

They do so now in Lorton church and the local Yew Tree Hall every fortnight. There are 4 leaders and they enjoy being with the young people very much.

Lynn Graham

Lynn works for NISCU in partnership with local churches. She is married to Andy, a former mayor of Cockermouth, and has 4 children, 3 grandchildren and is part of King’s Church Cockermouth where she serves in  youth and children’s work.  Lynn has a background in dance and theatre performance and teaching. She enjoys working with children in her primary work as well as with students in secondary schools work, and regularly visits Keswick school for collective worship assemblies and a weekly lunchtime club called QM, along with Sudharshan.

Sudharshan Sarvananthan

Sudharshan is the minister of Wonder Network Youth Church as well as being the Priest in Charge of Brigham, Clifton, Dean & Mosser Parishes. He is married to Angelina and has four children. Terry Peate

Terry is involved in the JUMP group for young people in the Cockermouth and surrounding areas. He is also involved in the churches in the Cockermouth Area Team as a Pastoral Care Co-ordinator. Terry enjoys fellwalking, motorcycling, cycling and looking after his vegetable plot!

Robert Alford

Robert moved to Cockermouth in 2013 with work from Cheshire, having been involved in youth work in Cheshire at St Johns Sandiway. Robert helps run JUMP the Cockermouth area team Youthgroup as well as sitting on the Wonder steering group and worships at Christchurch Cockermouth. Robert very much enjoys working with the youth of the deanery and finds helping them grow and develop in their faith journey is a real honour and privilege.
